Our run on August 12th was up to Brisbane and to Fort Lytton, very interesting and historical place.
After a guided tour of the place, we had a picnic lunch, the weather was beautiful and overall a great day.
Well done again Phil and Bernice.
On Sunday the 30th October, our club run was to Mount Tamborine and to the Glow Worm Caves and Cedar Creek Estate Winery for lunch.
On Sunday the 6th Feb, our club run was to the newly renovated Carrara Hotel for lunch.
1st August. Following our AGM our run was a short one to “Whiskers” at Upper Coomera.
Sunday the 6th June, our run was to Hastings Point.
Great spot, once again well done to Phil and Bernice.
Some photos of the day.
Plus Gary’s Bodgey Mechanic’s Hard Luck Trophy.
April 11th. Our run this week was to the Hotel for lunch at Tyalgum.
A very picturesque drive where we had about a dozen cars or so.
The only incident was new comer Gary in his XC Volvo with trouble with his gearbox (dodgy mechanics) but we still blame Gary. Luckily he got through.
At our AGM the following people were voted in for the 2009/2010 year.
President: Noel Peck
Vice President: Ken Rider
Secretary: John Cooper
Treasurer: Brett Sherwell
Rally Director: Phil Thomas
Dating & Insp. Officer: Andrew Creek
Events Coordinator: Pauline Creek
On the weekend of 28th to 30th August was our run out to Tenterfield and the Granite Belt wineries.
A big thank you to Phil and Bernice Thomas who organised a great weekend.
We all met at our accommodation, the Golfers Inn at Tenterfield on the Friday 28th, where, (at John’s suggestion) went to the local Golf Club for dinner …mmmmm
On Saturday morning, after breakfast we all headed off to Wallangarra for the Q150 celebrations of a steam train coming into town. There was a carnival type atmosphere with plenty of arts & crafts and food stalls. At about 11:30am the steam train arrived from Toowoomba.
Poor Phil lost his petrol cap on the trip out to Tenterfield, so the two thoughtful guys, Brett & John adapted a special one for him. Afterwards we headed off to Girraween National Park for a picnic lunch.
On Saturday night we ventured by coach to Felsberg Winery for dinner, arriving just before sunset. This was a fabulous place and enjoyed by all.
After breakfast on Sunday we checked out of our accommodation (highly recommended place) and headed towards Stanthorpe to the Jam Works for morning tea. There, we said our good-byes and headed off our separate ways. Some to a local maze, other to visit nearby friends or wineries.
Once again many thanks to Phil and Bernice who organised a great weekend and fortunately we had no breakdowns. Here’s looking forward to something similar in the near future.
